Targol trained in architecture and urban planning and has worked in professional practice since 2001. She held leadership and management positions across a number of professional associations in the Middle East, Europe and Australia.
In her role as president of Architects for Peace, Targol has worked on preparation of organisation’s strategic plans and now oversees the implementation of organisation’s strategy, and manages a team of creative volunteers working in the public domain, seeking sustainable urban development based on social justice, solidarity, respect and peace.
Targol has been involved in the redevelopment of Queen Victoria Market as project consultant and currently works as a project manager in infrastructure and urban design department at City of Stonnington.
Targol has kept her connection with the University of Melbourne after graduation by tutoring and doing research on ‘The Economies of Cities and Regions’ and leads a place-making studio.
