During her career Sue has taught English Literature and Language at college and university level, worked extensively with students experiencing written language problems, conducted Writers’ Workshops and seminars, mentored writers and offered editing and manuscript review services. In the 1980s and 1990s she worked with Tasmanian Adult Education in a range of language related courses and developed English Language courses for various departments of the Public Service, before opening a private consultancy business for professionals in the Public Service and children/adults with specific language difficulties. As a short fiction writer she has won numerous awards and published in literary journals in Australia and the UK. Recent publications include two novellas: A Transparent Death Ginninderra Press, and Vertigo UK online magazine 221B. She currently works as a writing mentor, secondary student coach in language and literature, and course presenter in matters literary, linguistic and historical at community centres.
