About Me
Sarah founded InOurCultures to plunge further into her passion for supporting women in the community.
She spent twenty years in multi-cultural classrooms surrounded by students from all corners of the globe and is fascinated by the dynamics of diversity in classroom settings and the opportunities of understanding that happen so naturally through the commonality of language learning.
Sarah studied Humanities, European Studies, German Language and is passionate about how languages connect people, cultures, and cross borders within communities and further afield. This passion was the impetus for a career in Language Training and has now weaved its way back to focus on women in the community.
In 2020 Sarah came up with the idea of holding a Festival for Women in her local community – she applied for a project grant, was successful and is now excitedly involved in all the magic that happens when women connect and share their resources. The Festival of Women – Sisters in the Hood event will be in North Richmond on Saturday 27th November.
