Niki na Meadhra is a professional storyteller and theatre artist, based at Abbotsford Convent, Melbourne. She has 25 years experience as a theatre maker, community builder and educator. Niki initially trained as an actor, but also has etensive experience directing and designing theatrical events. In 2012, she established her storytelling practice, Hearth Tales, which has already grown a significant audience in the community and education sectors. In 2012, Niki was invited to perform and lecture at Melbourne University. Her monthly event, Enchanted Evening, a night of traditional storytelling, sold out regularly in its first year. Niki uses stories to address social issues, reconnect audiences with traditional wisdom, nourish audiences in intimate community gatherings and to engender reflection, empathy and joy.
