Melissa Griffiths is a transgender authority and advocate who lives in Melbourne. Melissa is a consultant to businesses about how to deal with transgender people transitioning in their workplace and also on diversity and inclusion.
She has managed to get a gender identity policy introduced at Brisbane Racing Club, Melbourne Racing Club and Victoria Racing Club.
Melissa is also a highly sought after speaker for events and conferences. She recently spoke at RMIT for International Women’s Day and last year was a keynote speaker at the National Employment Solutions Conference.

Melissa was a finalist in the 2019 Australian LGBTI awards in the Hero Category as well as recently been a finalist for 2018 Agenda Setter of the year in the Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards and a finalist for 2017 Victorian LGBTI Person of the year award.
Melissa is a media commentator has raised a lot of awareness around how to make the workplace more inclusive for transgender people. Melissa has raised awareness about bullying, harassment through writing in the Media for The Guardian.
Melissa has been featured on ABC News last year as well as on Channel 10’s popular morning show Studio 10 in 2017. She has also spoken on radio on Joy 94.9FM and overseas in USA as well as been featured as part of a podcast on sexuality for NOVA entertainment Sydney.
She has also been featured on the front cover of Sofya Style Magazine UK as well as writing for other organisations here and overseas through media, online platform or social media.
Melissa is an ambassador for Flexible Working Day, Global Goodwill Ambassador (GGA) – Linkedin and ambassador/consultant for Women in Leadership. She was also an Ambassador for Ygap’s 2017 Polished Man campaign.
