Mary has been the Executive Director of the Victorian Women’s Trust since 1996. She has an extensive background in public policy and has a passionate commitment to social justice. In her role as Executive Director, Mary has undertaken extensive research and advocacy on crucial issues for women, and has designed and led some ground-breaking initiatives including the Purple Sage Project, Ordinary Women Extraordinary Lives, and the Watermark Australia project, an exceptional example of a nationwide, community engagement project based around issues of water sustainability. In 2012 Mary authored A Switch in Time – Restoring Respect to Australian Politics which has been distributed widely across Australia.
