About Me
Maribel Steel is a creative person who encourages people to see the positive side to living with a life-challenge. She is legally blind and has raised four children and trained as an Aromatherapist and Masseur. She was a children’s choir leader and continues to enjoy being a singer and lyricist with her life-partner at Spring Studio.
Her career as an educator, an award-winning blogger and Toastmaster, a mentor and peer advisor for VisionAware (USA) have all helped to broaden her scope in reaching a global audience.
In 2017, she was awarded a High Commendation in the WriteAbility Fellowships and received an ‘Inspire’ Award For her contributions to Community Service. Apart from networking and meeting new people, following her creative muse and ‘doing lunch’ with girlfriends, Maribel finds a particular joy in travelling.
