Lucy Skelton is a 19 year old Australian environmental and social justice activist studying Public Policy and International Relations at the Australian National University in Canberra. She is the founder of the national youth advocacy platform, the Student Voice Network, a coordinator with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, Board member of the Youth Coalition in the Australian Capital Territory and the 2020 Student of The Year with Environment Education Victoria. Lucy has interned with federal members of parliament and has campaigned in federal and state elections. Lucy believes that to create the wave of change that we need to secure a safe climate future we must see proactive and passionate efforts in both activist and political spheres. She sees the climate crisis as the greatest challenge of our generation and is determined to see intersectional action driven by science, industry and government.
