About Me

Fiona Poulton has been part of Way Back When Consulting Historians since 2009. She has broad experience in oral history, heritage research, exhibitions and digital history. Fiona is particularly inspired by the potential of digital technologies to transform the way that history is presented and has been involved in the creation of websites and audio documentaries using oral history interviews. She is the co-author of commissioned histories including Visionary Foundations: The First 50 Years of Monash Business School, Boroondara Remembers: Stories of World War I, Under the Red Ribbon: Thirty Years of the Victorian AIDS Council, as well as histories of primary schools, the Children’s Protection Society and Victorian Co-operative on Children’s Services for Ethnic Groups (VICSEG) . Fiona is a member of Oral History Victoria and is currently Vice President of the Professional Historians Association (Victoria).
