Catherine is a Visual Artist whose practice incorporates ceramics, works on paper, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and installations and public art experiences. The development of her artwork is informed by her observations and contemplations of city spaces, costal and rural environments.
Through her arts practice she explores the movement of energy or Qi via the use of repetitive patterns, forms and colours. She allows for the intuitive development of ideas and themes as she believes where our mind goes our Qi will follow, creating a sense of calm and balance for herself and the viewer.
Catherine is also a Complementary Health Care practioner and bodyworker with over 18 yrs experience in her private practice C.M.C. Massage. She uses Shiatsu and Massage Therapy to care for the physical and emotional needs of her clients in support of their happiness, health and wellbeing. All treatments are developed through consultations with each individual, according to their needs and allowing for person centred care. She also employs principles of Integrative Health Care in her private practice in Melbourne and Ballarat and as the Shiatsu Therapist at the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) Wellness Centre.
