About Me
Amanda Barbour launched her first business as a sole-trading translator while studying abroad in France in 2015, then upon her return to Australia founded the FEM&IST Film Festival. The festival is an intersectional feminist film fiesta, that welcomed guests from Stockholm and Alice Springs to sell-out crowds at the inaugural festivities in 2017.
Amanda is also an alumni of the Melbourne International Film Festival’s Critics Campus, and her film criticism has been published on SBS Movies, 4:3, cléo and the Journal of Australian Indigenous Issues.
