About Me
Priya Serrao is a policy adviser, qualified lawyer and the first Indian-born Australian to win the title of Miss Universe Australia 2019. She was born in India, grew up in the Middle East and migrated to Australia at the age of 10. Priya has tertiary degrees in Arts and Law and her interest in social change has seen her work with both local community organisations as well as international organisations such as the UNDP. She is an advocate for gender equality and racial justice and aims to continue using her platform to engage in issues important to her.
